PROJECT PLAN

Project Need

We believe that health is not just a personal concern but also a political issue. Through education and advocacy, we want to shine a light on the barriers that prevent families in our community from receiving the care they need.

This year, we are organizing our second annual student-led Resource Fair to address the issue of health and mental wellness. Many families face financial, cultural, and systemic challenges that make it difficult to access the right support. Our goal is to connect students and families with valuable resources that promote health and wellness. By leading this project, our team hopes to bridge gaps, break down barriers, and build a stronger, healthier community where every voice matters.

Process

Throughout the year, we deliberately dedicated a significant amount of our time for the purpose of contributing back to our community in means of health and wellness. Every Thursday we hold meetings after school, where the whole team connects, concord, and organizes future fundraiser and activities to continue to bring light in times of darkness in our community of Inglewood, CA. Every idea is well thought and organized from brainstorming to planning our fundraisers and leisure activities. Every step we take is to ensure that our primary objective: giving back to our community is well done.

We are planning to host our annual Resource Fair in early February to help address the challenges many families face. In the past, this event has been successful. Families who attended received free groceries, hygiene products, school supplies, and more. We also connected them with organizations that provided valuable services, from legal advice to nutritional guidance, while also giving out prizes and resources that made a real difference.

This year, we aim to make a positive impact once again by partnering with local organizations, nonprofits, and charities that share our mission of supporting families. We also plan to involve community members and civic leaders who can provide resources, mentorship, and advocacy to strengthen the impact of our fair.
